Blame it on spending a good half an hour to 45 minutes in an auto rickshaw, I have become quite observant of the salient features of the rickshaw. And like the autos' interiors, the drivers also comes in all sorts. Many a times , one may have observed the driver adjusting the rear view mirror so the person sitting in the auto is visible. I cant for the life of me understand, how that helps, but it seems to be standard protocol that a lot of drivers follow. Necessity, voyuerism, whatever one may choosee to call it. And if the driver happens to be a lamehead, imagine the entertainment, the bloke will get free of cost in the night if a necking couple get into his vehicle and its a long ride.... :-P. but its overall a very irritating thing!
